YuvaCity is a concise handbook/guide for adolescents to assess public spaces and propose adolescent-friendly improvements in urban neighbourhoods. There are also sections in the handbook for community members ( families, neighbours, RWAs), Civicl Society Organisations (CSOs) and Indian City officials, guiding each stakeholder on how they can support adolescent needs and initiatives in urban neighbourhoods.
YuvaCity was one of the learning products of the Safe, Vibrant and Healthy Public Spaces (SVHPS) project, conceived, designed and co-developed by Auom Impact and Consulting by Insomanywords, Learning Partner of the project. SVHPS project was an initiative led by WRI India in consortium with Local Partners (Aaina & Humara Bachpan Trust in Bhubaneswar; I-India and Magic Bus India in Jaipur) and MEL Learning Partner (Auom), under the Healthy Cities for Adolescents (HCA) programme by Fondation Botnar.
